Patrick Brady

Veterinarian, DVM

Human Resources Director

Dr. Patrick Brady has always had a life-long fascination for and love of animals. Even growing up, while his neighbors watched cartoons and comedies, he would be watching Steve Irwin and National Geographic. He was lucky enough to have a family that would foster this ambition, particularly his mother for allowing a host of dogs, snakes, lizards, fish, and even tarantulas to reside in her home.

Dr. Patrick attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate education and majored in Animal Biology, with a minor in Zoology. While at UF, he volunteered with Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs with a focus on socializing dogs working with wounded veterans. He also became involved in avian research, earning multiple fellowships as a field technician with the Smithsonian Institution. His work involved the capture and release of backyard birds for banding and data collection while educating families on the importance of local wildlife. In 2013, Dr. Patrick was accepted into the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated in May of 2017, when he joined the Bluffs Animal Hospital family.

Dr. Patrick is a lifelong resident of Pinellas county, born and raised in Palm Harbor. Dr. Patrick’s free time is spent predominately outdoors. Any given weekend you can expect to find him on a local trail, with a bird guide in one hand and a pair of binoculars around his neck. When not on a trail, it is also possible to find him rock climbing in St. Pete or planning a new travel adventure. Despite the thrilling nature of these activities, nothing tops relaxing in his hammock reading a book with Bambi and Wham, his rescue pit bulls.
