Welcome to Bluffs Animal Hospital!

Our animal hospital is located on Indian Rocks Road in Belleair Bluffs, serving the communities of Belleair, Belleair Beach, Sand Key, Harbor Bluffs, Harbor Hills, Harbor Oaks, and Largo.  We are also conveniently located less than 1/2 mile off of West Bay Drive, and are an easy drive from the Clearwater, Clearwater Beach and Island Estates areas.  Open since 1961, Bluffs Animal Hospital has multi-generational clients that visit from all over Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties, from Tampa/St. Petersburg to New Port Richey.

 

We are a full service, modern animal hospital dedicated to providing the best medical and surgical care for your furry family member, as well as unbeatable customer service.  Bluffs Animal Hospital is an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Since 1977, we have regularly undergone inspections by AAHA to ensure that we comply with the association's high quality standards of care. These standards cover nearly every aspect of our hospital, including surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, pet health records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental and nursing care, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesiology. Approximately 15 percent of animal hospitals in North America are accredited by AAHA.  We are a medium-sized animal hospital and currently have 4 Veterinarians on staff to serve your pet's medical and surgical needs.

We offer medical exams, services and products for dogs and cats on a walk-in basis.  No appointments are necessary, with the exception of surgery, dental cleanings, boarding and grooming.  If you wish to see a particular doctor, please call ahead to make sure they are in.  We have 6 exam rooms and at least 2 Veterinarians on staff each day to ensure that your pet will be seen in a timely manner.

Have you noticed some changes?  We have been working hard to complete improvements to our exam rooms and waiting areas, in order to make them more inviting and comfortable for you and your family.  At Bluffs Animal Hospital, we are committed to constantly updating not only our patient care and medical technologies, but we are also striving to update our facility in order to create the most welcoming environment.

US Navy SEAL

2002 Graduate, US Naval Academy

On September 6th, 2009, Dan returned to Kandahar, Afghanistan.  With less than 36 hours on the ground, his team received their first mission task targeting Taliban operatives.  During the mission, Dan activated a land mine and lost both legs, and sustained traumatic internal injuries.


100% of your donation will go directly to Dan and his family to help support them through the recovery.  If any extra funds are received they will be donated right back to the same foundations and organizations that have been so great thus far.  Feel free to contribute any amount -- even $5 will help cover the cost of a meal, etc.  Please make checks payable to: Dan Cnossen Fund.  You can also make contributions online at dancnossen.org via PayPal.

Troop Supplies - Updated List!

Items dropped off for our collection box will be shipped to troops stationed in the Middle East and distributed amongst fellow service men & women who need them.

 

Items that are most requested:

1. Flavored instant oatmeal in boxes
2. Muscle Milk, or equivalent (powder form only)
3. Granola bars & energy or protein bars

4. Single drink mixes: Gatorade, Crystal Light, etc.

5. Single instant caffeinated coffee

6. Copenhagen

7. Single wrapped snacks: nuts, dried fruits, trail mix, cookies, crackers, etc.

8. Snack-packs of salsa, pickles, chewing gum, popcorn

9. Meat in foil packs or pop-top cans; canned fruit & veggies; non-perishable foods

10. Personal wipes in small, non-rigid containers

11. Hard candy or cough drops

12. Lip conditioner with sunscreen, in a tube with a screw cap (the other kind melt)

Other ideas: razors, facial tissues in individual packs, baby wipes, magazines such as Maxim, Sports Illustrated, Men’s Health, etc., personal notes or cards with your words of encouragement and appreciation!


*Please keep in mind that items that may melt or crush easily are not good for shipping and there are restrictions on the amount of liquids allowed to be sent.
